Phew! Just back (yesterday) from an overnight backpacking trip with Owen. We hiked up the South Boulder Creek valley from the Moffat Tunnel East Portal trailhead to Heart Lake. That's all part of the James Peak Wilderness Area and we camped there one night before summitting James Peak (in the background in the picture above) the next morning before returning to camp, packing up, and descending back to the trailhead all in the same day. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger so I must be super strong now because I sure felt near death several times during this trip.
