| CDS Calendar 16-17 |
On Sunday July 31 about 7:30 a.m. I'm scheduled to depart DIA for Incheon via a San Francisco connection. I'll arrive about 14-15 hours later elapsed time but it will already be about 2:30 p.m. on Monday Aug 1 local time. I believe a ride will be arranged for me to the campus where I'll get settled in in the Faculty Residence. I think I'll have Tuesday for more general orientation before special orientation for new teachers the rest of that week. The following week is all teacher orientation for new year. In addition to the fabulously helpful HR Director at the school there is a special business called
The Arrival Store which exists just to help new teachers coming into the country with basic provisions. My school is providing a generous moving stipend which helps with that and the cost of mailing a bunch of clothes and a few sundries to myself over there. For instance, I'll probably start with
the complete package and add some extras. First day with students is Tues Aug 16 (Happy Birthday, Darcy!). See calendar above. Dark green days are my vacation days.
