My First Field Trip

Hi all, quick update: I'm planning a trip to Vietnam over spring break. I'm going to spend three days on a motorcycle tour between Nha Trang and Da lät with Eddie (see FB page for Vietnam Motorcycle Tours). Should be great. The rest of the time chillin' on the beach in Nha Trang and just north of there (with my own dedicated scooter, a la Pranburi) in Doc Let at Some Days of Silence.

Should be fine! But won't be the same without my scooter crewe from Thailand - a shout out to youse!

On the local scene I had organized and executed my first ever field trip last Friday, for my 8th grade science students to visit a nearby science museum. Here's a link to the writeup I just did about it for the middle school newsletter, and here are some pictures:
William and Steven attempting to remove ropes from puzzle structures.
Jason and Andy studying chain-reaction simulation
Emmanuel, Steven, Jason, and William exploring examples of pulleys used as simple machines.
A group with another chaperone on the floor below us.
Olivia, Nahyun, and Gyumin in a rare moment when they weren't taking pictures of themselves.
Jason and Steven near a dinosaur skull.

Josh and Mr. Howell watching bubbles move up through a liquid.
William and Emmanuel in front of some sort of display about Korea. I don't know what it says because it's all Greek to me!
Happy February, everyone!  -- Chris
